The owner was waiting for us at the pier when we arrived, that immediately set the tone. The overwater room was small but the balcony made up for it completely. We spent hours sitting there watching the fish below. The staff organised our Sipadan trip and it ran perfectly.
We saw sea turtles snorkelling about 100 metres from our room. The house reef at Mabul is something special, you don't need to take a boat anywhere to see incredible marine life. The meals were simple but good and the team was helpful throughout.
